I want a 120mm fan that has a ridiculously high CFM. I dont care about noise levels, I just want to see what the highest CFM I can get from one fan. So what is the fan I should be looking at?

By the way, watch your PSU. Many of these fans take 20-30 watts of pure 12V power. If you run alot of them, consider powering them off a separate powersupply, such as a Meanwell that has only a 12V rail.

For some reason I cannot fathom what someone would use one of those delta fans for...
FHB1248DHE model is crazy ~245CFM and needs about ~62watts to run. Thats just insane @ 71dba

I'll have to dig them out but there are some fans that are used in some old compaq servers that are 12volt at 2 amps and sound like a jet engine. I imagine they are easily 200cfm+

They are 12 volt, 300cfm, 39.6 watts, 3430rpm, 57db
Manufactured by comair.

I agree... I would rather just cut a whole in my case or put a box fan in one of the sides if i needed that much air..

Some high end servers need the airflow.
The compaq server I had here had 4 300cfm fans.
Two blew across 6 scsi drives and the other two blew across xeon processors.
Add to that the 4 fans in the two power supplies.

Excellent performer, but no way would I have it running in the same room as me.

ROFLROFL

i did that on my U2 when i spilled water ontop of it by mistake.

I accidentally forgot to connect a tube to a block, an water went shooting all over my components. I had to take the top lid off my U2 and strapped a 24 inch fan on top of the case. Turned it on high, and walked away. Within 3 hours the entire comp was dry and clean as a whistle :p

I wouldnt recomend anyone doing this, i think i got kinda lucky none of the coolant turned conductive. But it was hella funny watching my computer with a big honking fan on top.

i'm currently using 2 x delta 3200rpm 120mmx38mm fans on the front/rear of my lian li v1000b case.

the single in the front does a good job cooling 2 x 150gb raptors and a seagate 7200.10 drive in a single 3-hdd bay (these drives are known to run real warm)

the rear is used as an "outtake" haha. to accompany the 120mm nexus attached to my scythe ninja as a push-pull effect

Sunbeam Rheobus: keep the fans at about 9v when in 2d mode and its pretty quiet while keeping compenents cool, 7v while sleeping, and 12v when gaming. can be heard pretty well when both run at 12v but i like to use sound when i play (unlike those guys that complain that some fan noise hurts their ears) and that completely drowns out any fan noise.

If you don't care about noise, I have to suspect you have never heard fans like these with such high RPM and airflow. My point really is that they aren't suitable for use in a computer, so why limit yourself to 120mm? Step on up in size if you just want to make your pets very paranoid.

Also if you could accept fans not quite that loud you will get a much better price at someplace like excess solutions.

I have seen it happen, was testing my new HTPC case and I had a 100cfm delta blowing air on it..... And well the my cat decided to smell the fan...... the cat ran like there was no tomorrow.

Performance-Pcs

Just scroll down to the middle of the page to see the fans.

Also high powered fans are for servers. You do not have to be in the same room to control one. Thats why we have remote desktop.

EDIT:

This guy is good at wasting peoples time. Just a different user name....
