Higher Temperatures with 6700K vs 6600K

Running a 6600K with Z170M & HYPER 212 EVO my CPU temperatures @ 4.4Ghz was between 29 to 45 Celsius, idle at 23 and 25.

Upgraded CPU to 6700K @ 4.4Ghz temperatures increased to 60 and 70 Celsius, idle 20 to 34.

Is this:

1) too high?
2) What is a cost effective to change to which cooler where CPU temperatures are reduced between 50 and 69?

Those temps are in the normal range, and safe for that CPU. Although both your idle and load temps seem to have a wide range. 10c for your load and 14c for idle is strange. So something seems off with your temps. My idle temp only fluctuates 1-2c. Is your cooler making good contact, and you didn't apply too much paste when you installed it?

You will need a beefier cooler if you want to drop your temps down. The Noctua NH-U14S and NH-D15S are worth looking at.

I have the NH-U12S (smaller version for mild overclocks), and my load temp hits 34c and my idle temp is around 25c on my 6700k. However, I don't run benchmarks, so it would probably be a little higher in those.
