Higher FSB on new cpus

I keep seeing the numbers go up on cpus, 1600 for Yorkfield, but what does that mean in terms of day to day stuff? Anything on the hdd is bottlenecked by the read/write speed and internet stuff is controlled by your connections status and speed so where do we see improvement?

Overclockers are already running 400+ FSB systems, so you could say it is marketing ploy...because the enthusiasts would be the people to purchase these cpus.
