I haven't cheated on anything at the University. There is way too much to lose if you get caught to even consider it.

I have written papers for my best friend (we were in the same english class together) and he has helped me with c++ programming and other programming-related work, so it's still "cheating" per se, but I don't see it as that. Maybe that's just me justifying what I've done :)

Smoking reef, speeding is cheating the law, therefore either makes you a cheater.

are you admitting you do those things? I certainly am not...HOWEVER, I WILL admit to exceeding the posted speed limits occasionally, and yes, that's cheating...however, it has NOTHING to do with the topic here...

I have yet to cheat in college, but I did in HS on many occasions. We would almost take turns writing a paper and then just change a couple of things and turn it in. In all my years of cheating I have never gotten caught, but I havent had the guts to try it in college yet though.

Yeah, same here. I used to cheat in HS though.

Other than busy-work assignments, no. I certainly never cheated on exams, and I wouldn't hand in someone elses creative work (papers, etc) as my own, because frankly I wouldn't trust them to be good enough.

Not that I never handed in a stinker, but at least I knew it!

In my HS geometry class, not a day went by that the class didnt cheat. The teacher was horrible at teaching and would almost always show up 10 minutes late and then leave right as soon as she finished "Teaching". When she would leave, she always left her teachers book in the room, so the second she left we all got up and gathered around her book getting all of the answers. I got a D on nearly every test in that class, but thanks to the cheating, I think i ended up with a B- in that class.

ok honestly...I would say a majority of students copied homework at some point i their college career. Its stupid ass busy work that means nothing...as long as you dont make it a habit its not a big deal. You forgot to write it down in your schedule book and its 10 mins before class...your friend has it done..what do you do? You ask him to ****** show it to him and let you copy it. It harms no one....You know you could do it if you remembered to do it, he did it but he is your friend and doesnt care either, and the teacher doesnt care cause he was a student once and also knows that its bullshit busy work.

Didn't copy word for word, but did use a paper mill once for a term paper I forgot about, then re-wrote it using my own words, and about 75% of my own material.

I felt pretty bad about it for a while, but then when my boss at work stole two of my ideas and claimed they were his, I didn't feel so bad anymore!

I totally agree. I care too much about my work and such to let someone else do it...i would be worried as all hell about it. Heck when we do group work I usually end up doing it cause I dont trust the random person i just met to do a good job.

I never have cheated. In high school, people would always try to get me to give them the answers, and would act like hey pal. When they found out I wasn't going to help them, I lost a "friend". Nobody has ever really liked me, not sure why. Maybe because I'm anti-social, maybe because I made it through high school without cracking a book, and took all the higher classes. Maybe it's because I'm ugly. Maybe it's because they're jealous of my good looks. I don't have a clue.

I have never cheated and I wouldn't think twice about turning a cheater in. I worked too hard for my grades to let somebody lazy blow the curve or get credit for work they didn't do.

"I cheat on homework, such as copying friends, but nothing beyond that"

I don't consider copying homework, or telling someone else to do it for you cheating at all.
At the end of the course, you'll still have to take exams to show for it anyway.
If you didn't review the homework, and you fail the exam; you have no one to blame but yourself.

I've had my friends do homework assignments for me, and I've done for them as well.
