High versus Low Density

I have a an Asus K8V SE Deluxe and I am wanting to buy 2, 1GB sticks of memory. The current specs worry me and I wonder if they will work. I have to order them online, so getting them back to the seller would be a pain in the ***. I'd like to see if anyone may be able to tell me if this memory would work with the K8V SE Deluxe board. Here's the memory specs.

PC2100 266 Mhz
1GB DDR RAM
128x64 HIGH Density RAM <----This is the only thing I really am worried about.
184 Pin, Gold Leads
Non ECC, Non Registered
6 Layer low noise shield PCB Board
2.5V
CAS Latency (CL 3)
Double Sided DIMM

Again, the only thing I am worried about is if this High density RAM would work. The specs all seems to match and an Asus tech said it may work, but his response wasn't very convincing. I can't really spend a crapload of money on something that won't work and then pay to send it back. Thank you for any help!

The board can handle 128Mbit x 64. But are you sure you want to settle for just PC2100? :( Why not PC3200?

Well, At $99 a Stick, I can't complain, plus, when you get all 3 GB on the board, the speed is only 200Mhz anyways, so it really doesn't make a whole lot of whoopy.

Are you saying this will work?

If the memory is only $99 for a 1GB module then I have to wonder about the quality level of it. The board is compatible with 128Mbit x 64, but quality might be a whole 'nother ball of wax. If you want RAM that's guaranteeed to work, then buying cheap stuff may not be the best solution down the road.

Why do you want a lot of memory? More likely than not you'll be MUCH better off with screaming fast ram than a huge ammount of it, this is especially true for games and other common apps. There is a huge difference between 133MHz and 200MHz, do yourself a favor and get some PC3200 at least unless you can convince me that you could actually use an insane ammount of slow ram...

Newegg has some PDP systems PC3200 1GB modules for very cheap they are 3 3 3 too, if you can settle for only 2GB you can get some much faster ram. here's the link PC3200 @ newegg

Also forgot to mention, the board will take all 3 sticks and if you maxx the Vdimm Voltage to 2.7V and relax the timings I was able to get 2x 512 Mb Buffalo Winbond CH5 and one of the PDP systems 1GB modules to work at 33310 timings @ PC3200 on this board it passed about an hour or 2 of memtest and 8 or so hrs of prime 95 in this config, but it's basicly like overclocking just runing at stock speed if you use 3 dimms (this was w/ a 3200+ newcastle 6800GT, TB santa cruz, a CD/DVD combo drive and an Antec SLK3700AMB case w/ the SL350 powersupply w/ 21A on the 12V rail) you do have to manuely set the memory settings in the bios though, if left on auto it drops the ram speed down to PC1600 in truth I was amazed this actualy worked I just wanted to see if the board would actualy support running 3 dimms full speed, and it appears that with enough voltage it can (at anything less than 2.7 volts these tests failed pretty bad and at 2.5V the system did not post w/ 3 dimms) so you may be able to get away w/ running PC3200 w/ 3 dimms, but it really depends on if your memory can hack it w/ only 2.7 volts. I also suspect that using 2 SS modules and 1 DS module would have worked much better than using 3 DS modules like I did.
