Libertarians need an Al Gore. Say what you will about the man but he knows how to get an idea that starts out as radical and outlandish to become mainstream and popular. Ron Paul may have severely hurt the Libertarian cause, but it is impossible to tell at this point. If his getting laughed off the stage can be forgotten, his mobilization of many young people may prove helpful in the future. If it can't, then he may have only aided the marginalization of the cause. It doesn't help that the Libertarian Party is run on a policy of incompetence, a quick look at their web site will tell you that.

You're right. Clearly people steer away from Libertarians due to their incompetence, happily embracing the Democrats and Republicans for their steadfast principles and competent handling of all this country faces, both foreign and domestic.

Wait for it...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

People don't vote for Libertarians because they want to take away the slop trough that most American piggies slurp their garbage from.

I speak of political, not governing, incompetence. The Libertarian Party has not had a chance to prove or disprove its governing incompetence because it has never had the political skill to get its candidates elected.

Or people don't vote for Libertarians because the Libertarian party is generally full of lunatics, truthers and racists.

Also, that video sucked, serious Uncanny Valley issues.

Or people don't vote for libertarians because they believe the government has a larger obligation to help people. Just because you don't agree doesn't make everyone else, wrong, corrupt, or idiots.

This is better than the average Ron Paul commercial. Just greenscreen Ron Paul himself instead of the cgi character, and recomposite, and you have yourself a very effective commercial.

Go for it.
