High speed hard drive

So... my 80GB drive is almost full (could of seen that coming). The question now is what are my options?

Play a lot of games.
I don't feel like doing anything too fancy. I am sort of a plug and play, kind of a guy.
I don't keep many files either. I keep movies etc. on dvd.

I'm wondering if Raptors are still the shiat? Are they much better than todays 7200rpm (revs per minute) hard drives? I suppose I should research their read/write specs? But you guys can tell me if that makes a significant difference for games. Probably not...

That said. I still need more memory. But not a monster.

I was actually thinking of a 74gb Raptor for $179 Canadian. (=$154US)

Obviously, I do other things than game like: photoshop, surf (porn), encode a bit, listen to mp3s while doing all of the above, regular stuff...

Any opinions would be appreciated (actually they will probably be mocked and ignored but that doesn't really sound nice so...) very much, thanks :)

Oh ya, I forgot the other point.

Any thoughts on Cheetah and Atlas drives? Are they the same?
What, exactly, is a SCSI (Scuzzy) drive? Does it require raid or something?

I would go with the 150GB Raptor for all of your games and apps.

Yeah but, I don't need much more room. I've been fine with 80gigs for a long time. Why spend the extra cash? I was thinking of keeping the 80 for media files and the such. Well maybe, you've got me thinking about it...

What I am wondering is, are raptors much faster? And what does a scuzzy do for you?
