By the way, I hope nobody actually thinks that the landover babtist people are actually Christians. It's either a joke (which I'm 90% sure it is), or they just are religious fundamentalists. Either way, they're not Christian.

gollum is the only thing salvaging that movie...PJ needs another half hour, at least, to make that movie complete.anyone heard if there will be an extended dvd version?

I'm almost 90% certain that is not a joke. The pastor at the [independent baptist] church where my parents and I go would probably think that is the most accurate review in the world of that movie. (He also thinks that everyone should always listen to some '30s or '40s music - rock&roll is evil

).

I'm also almost 90% certain (oh, did you know that 93.567% of all statistics are made up on the spot, including the ones in this post? 😉) that the majority of people in the church who are age 50 or under (excluding my parents, who tend to hold to the more ultra-conservative views of the pastor) just ignore what the pastor is saying when he starts ranting about how modern music is evil, or how you shouldn't go to see any movies rated pg or higher. If you couldn't tell by my attitude in this post already, I am one of them. 🙂

I'm 99% sure that it's a hoax...
But it's a great site as it's just crazy enough that it could be real.

Your knowledge of matters pertaining to the beliefs that some people hold concerning what is moral and what is not moral in movies, music, and other things is obviously lacking. I have had the unfortunate privilege of being exposed to such people for much too long, so I know that, although that site may be a hoax, there are quite certainly people out there who would believe and agree with everything that it says.

If you have something reasonable to refute these points with, I'd be glad to hear them and reconsider my opinions in light of what you have to say. If you're only replying to try to piss me off, then please stop now, because any more posts you make in this thread for that purpose only will be ignored.

Huh? I could care less about your experiences with ultra-conservatives...the site is an obvious joke, and you fell for it. I have no reason to argue with you about whatever it is you seem to be so worked up about.

I got the impression from the old LOTR cartoons that Gollum was more of an amphibious-lizard looking kind of thing.

Hmmm... I always thought Gollum would have been discolored black by all his years in the mountain. I guess that's just what I was expecting. Still, he looks pretty sweet and I'll definitely enjoy seeing him onthe screen this weekend
