Nice detail.

The 23kT Baker device was detonated 90 feet (27 m) underwater on July 25, 1946. That picture was taken from a tower on Bikini Island, 3.5 mi (5.6 km) away. The ships were arranged in a semiradial pattern at various distances from the detonation to see the effects of flash & blast on the superstructure mostly. The pattern is very unlike a normal vessel deployment pattern.
Among notable target ships, one can recognize the carrier Saratoga, the battleship Nevada, and the battleship Arkansas in the water column 250 yards from the detonation epicenter.
