Is it normal for windows 10 to have this ram usage while chrome is running only?

You need to go to the Processes tab and click the RAM column to sort it by highest RAM usage and see which process is consuming the most. Should be Chrome. That's normal for Chrome (with the current version). Future versions may reduce Chrome's memory footprint.

Makes a big difference in how it behaves. I made those changes whenever I spotted the news. The only quirk is if you don't access a tab for awhile it simply reloads it when you click on it again. Works in V108.

Oh, and 6GB of RAM in use is nothing. Before enabling the options I was hovering around 15-16GB typically w/ a few tabs open. Now it's usually sitting around 10GB. It also helps keep the CPU / iGPU less busy by suspending those tabs.
