High Quality Paint?

I'm looking for some really nice paint to use on my CDRW drive's front cover (bezel) that is black to go with the color of my Antec Sonata case. Also, what kind of brush should I use? I don't want lines from where the brushes went or anything on their. Also, is there any that will be reflective because the Antec Sonata has an "automotive" finish and so the sides reflect like a mirror.

I'm not looking for buckets of paint, but just some small amounts of paint for the front cover of a CDRW and maybe a DVD drive when I find a good deal on one.

I don't know about that, but there was a show on Discover channel last night about West Coast choppers and the paint guy in the shop was showing a paint that costs something like $1400 a gallon. That's craziness for some paint!!!

You can get decent enamel paint that come in a can, or got to an automotive store and ask them to mix small batch of your favorite paint that come in a compress-air glass jar with sprayer.

You talk about shiny paint and then say you're gonig to brush it on?

You don't do a lot of painting, do you?

Anyway, remove the faceplate from the drive. Wet sand it smooth with 600 grit paper. Then take a quality spray paint (I'm assuming you don't own an airbrush) and apply several coats, wet sanding with 600 grit between each coat. After the final coat, sand the peice with 2000 grit paper, and then polish and it will shine like a mirror.

I just paid $750.00 for a gallon of car paint.

i've heard the best for plastic is the vinyl die. havent heard about the krylon tho.

yup, on lawn furniture, the molded plastic type.. works well, really well and coats nicely too...

still, nothing beats lead based paints *snif*
