Hey -

I'm building a PVR/fileserver system (hopefully when I get paid in two weeks.. hehe), and am looking for a nice DVD-Burner that won't die on me, and is just plain high-quality.

I also am looking for another(?) optical drive that can rip audio CDs extremely accurately in linux via cdparanoia.

If I can find one drive that can do both... that's even better!

I've heard a lot about NEC, so I'm leaning towards them, right now.

Reply....it's ROXOR!!!! I would have to look into the linux question, I think it should work fine, but I am not sure about the cdparanoia.

Yeah - there are 'better' ones offered by Plextor, and stuff... but they cost twice as much, and you don't get too many more features that are actually worth anything. Maybe worth an extra $2. hehe.

Thanks
