ack seems the func doesn't last all that long.

well it lasted a year and 2 months, not bad. and he used the rough side which has more friction and will wear out faster than the smooth side (the side i use 🙂) he was using his mousepad intensively and it lasted pretty dang long, and i'm pretty sure if you did that on a ratpad it would wear out a lot faster

ratpadz are great for opticals, but it was so slick my boomslang didn't track well on it. The func surface 1030 and my boomslang get alon very well now 🙂

I got is from svcompucycle.com

It is kinda wierd that I am using a slab of marble that I got out of one of Saddam's Palaces. It makes me feel good that I got something to show for my trip. On the other hand it is really heavy.

think i'll go for the ratzpad gs for now. its half the price and the gs seems to get good reviews and is faster then the func, i like fast🙂 wanted the everglide optical, cuz its just damn pretty, but i think i'll wait till i can share shipping with several people to get that.

from the reviews it seems they all wear out in slightly over a year of hard use. just like my previous everglide pads. guess slab of polyethylene is a slab of polyethylene 🙂

I use the fUnc 1030 pad, best mousepad I've ever used. I've had it for quite a while and it hasn't worn out one bit.

this might have been an early manufacturing defect because the first one i got did the same thing as dan's, however, the second one i got has lasted 2 years now and im still using it.

well under hard use i'm sure they all die after about a year. i read a buncha reviews and it seems to be the case. plastic is plastic🙂

the ratspad seems to be sliding along pretty well, feels like an everglide to me and thats what matters. the reviews said the ratz/everglides are faster gliding then the func. i just prefer the speed. the price difference makes up the rest of my mind. ratz only problem is they only come in large, i just use it sideways to fit.

think i'll get everglide optical pads later, they are simply much nicer looking🙂 hey we're talkin premium pads here so looks matter a little. you gotta order more then one to cut the shipping, so i guess i'll wait till xmas to load up on gifts🙂

and here you can get 1/2" teflon ptfe conformable skived tape for your mousefeet🙂 5 dollars for 18 yards.

oh yea, something that really swayed the boat for me on mousepads was the Thresh (one of the best FPS gamers ever) uses a fUnc 1030, dont know if it'll make a difference to you but it does to me. keep in mind that the fUnc has both rough (very fast) and smooth (very accurate) sides.

hah, i'm sure someone knows what mousepads the current worlds best fps gamers use. not that it matters all that much i bet.

its mostly skill/personal preference/and which one you got free 😉
