High quality coax cable for 7.1 speaker setup?

So, about 2 months ago verizon installed FIOS at my apt. and the tech left a 100ft spool of high quality coax cable in my apt. I was wondering if this cable would be good for a 7.1 speaker setup due to its excellent insulation. My speakers are old Infinity Interludes and infinity ref. 2000.2 with a JBL 250 sub. Main speakers are bi-amped. So, the speakers arent hi-end but have served me well. Just wondering if the coax will make a dif from my standard speaker wire.

Coax cable is low gauge (usually 18 to 20 gauge), most likely much smaller than your current speaker wire. Not to mention the connections.

insulated well, yes, but the wire is much too thin to carry the current sufficient for loudspeakers.

err, no. RG-6 are meant for low level signal and typically 18AWG, too thin for use as speaker wire. Also, I wouldn't bother with the bi-amp either.

There are people that combine multiple run of RG-6 to use as speaker cable, but those are crazy people.
