This is making me insane.....it's coming from the older PC in my sig...my daily use pc. It's been coming and going for years. thought it was a fan...replaced them all. no noise for MONTHS. then it came back....thought it was the power supply, replaced it....no noise...then it comes back...thought I may have actually narrowed it down to the dang video card, swapped it out, and still have the noise.
I've completely disasembled this tower and put it back together and no noise for days. Then it started up again. And man it is just soooo annoying HIGH PITCHED squeal. every cap on the board looks perfect, straight up and down, no swelling, no domed tops....should I just give up and get a new board? I'm being a cheapskate. My other pc I don't allow anyone to touch. and I don't get online with it much...it's mostly a gamer/media machine.
