High pitched sounds coming from my Asus P4PE?

Howdy all,

I am a new owner of an Asus P4PE and have been very impressed by the board save for one issue. It seems to be making a high pitched noise from somewhere on the top half of the board. The noise also seems to get louder if i run cpu intensive applications like games or benchmarks. I know its not my other hardware because i just switched in a new mobo and proc and never experienced this before.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is something like this RMA'able?

Thanks,
Steven

It's not my fans, all of my fans are connected to a baybus. I turned all the fans off, and the sounds persists! I really think its the motherboard! Somehow...

Thanks for the input though.

This noise is normal. The onboard NIC even makes a noise when you run it to the wall!

It's harmless and seldom heard with the case covers on.

Cheers!
