Well, maybe some of you remember I posted this problem about a month ago. I have a Shuttle MN31N motherboard, and a high-pitched noise was coming from the area around the CPU. It also had bad rear-audio headers, so I got Shuttle to RMA the motherboard. I just got the replacement board back today, and it has the same high-pitched noise (the audio works now)! I know I'm not hearing things, and I've built and worked on enough computers to know this is definately not normal. The tech said the board I sent in was working fine, which I find hard to believe, but they sent a replacement anyways.
So what should I do now? Should I contact the Shuttle RMA people again? I'm a bit pissed because this is the 2nd board with the same noise problem. I have used this board before when I built a system for my cousin, and her's was perfectly fine. Maybe I am just stuck in a bad streak of boards?...
EDIT: I just e-mailed the Shuttle RMA representative that I contacted previously and am hoping she has some advice as well. I'll post whatever she suggests.
