HIGH pitch noise

About 5 minutes after my pc boots into the OS, I get this high pitched noise that is very annoying. i can't figure out what it is or where it's coming from on the PC. Anyone care to take a guess? I thought it was the fan, but it's not. i'm out of clues, and i wanna throw the damn thing out the window!

It could be coming from your monitor. Check the refresh rates and try lowering it to see if the whine goes away.

Is the noise constant? If it is follow Oyeve's recommendation. If it's only during start up it could be that you are turning off your monitor instead of using the sleep mode. With a cold monitor you will have a high pitch noise during start up until the monitor is warm enough. So use the sleep mode instead of a cold start everytime.
