high pitch monitor noise

I got in on the famous samsung monitor deal...I have a 21" running at 1600x1200x85. I noticed last night (and I dont think this was happening before either) that when I go to certain webpages, the thing has a high pitch whine - some webpages more than others (as I'm typing this, there's not much of one).

I have a cheapo BNC cable that doesn't seem to solve the problem. The only thing that does it is turing the monitor down to 1280x1024 - and I'll be shipping this thing to Samsung for service before I resort to running a lower resolution. Playing around with the refresh at 1600x1200 doesn't seem to help either.

Actually I'm pretty sure the whine is still there on the other pages, I just can't hear it (if that makes any sense).

So, any possible solutions? Does anyone think a better BNC cable might fix the problem? Anyone seen this before?

Thanks in advance

It sounds like you might have a cold solder joint or bad capacitor on the motherboard in your monitor. Either of these conditions can cause tiny arcs that make a high pitched sound. If the monitor is under warranty you might consider RMA. Just a guess mind you.
