Hello guys. I recently upgraded my internet and my router and now I get 80 ping from Massachusetts to Virginia when I used to get 20. How do I fix this?

Could you post more details, such as :
- what is the new Internet bandwidth?
- what is the type of the link (ADSL, fiber,...)?
- Is it persistent or intermittent?
- The router configuration? etc.

Did you change internet providers? If so, new new ISP might be using a different route that results in the slightly higher ping times. Or even the same ISP could be using a different routing process if it's a different service (i.e. FIOS vs. DSL).
