Hi all,

I read somewhere awhile back (I think it was here) that high intensity UV will oxidize the aluminum panels of your aluminum case, along with other pcb components. I was planning to buy some high intensity uv leds from an industrial catalogue which can be spliced to molex connectors for connecting to psu. I recently bought some UV reactive rounded cables and wanted to snazz up the inside of my case a bit... Is this a wise thing to do, or should I just stick with a black light cold cathode? Will black light even work?

"high intensity uv leds " is what he was asking about.

Wouldn't the UV diffuse enough even an inch away from the LED to be rendered effectively harmless? (I've forgotten too much in my old age...)

Can you only see it glow when the room's totally dark? I'd like to see maxSe's results while the lights in my room are on. I've these superbright Ikea lighs and I'm afraid I'll only be able to see it at night.

Thanks all.
