High hard drive cpu utilization

I have 2 75GXP 45GB IBM's in RAID 0 on a KA7-100 hpt370 controller. Each drive is master. HDTach says that there is 30% cpu utilization although no programs are loaded in memory and all programs starting with windows are off. That's incredibly high, what's with that?

Yup thats a big problem with ide raid, I tested it had cpu utilation at 50%.. Bye bye went the raid. I really needed the cpu cycles more then the raid function.. And i did not actually notice any big dif. by runnint ata100 then running raid 0 on them (loading 3dstudio, photoshop etc).
