Ok guys, Im running this micro-wireless router from Linksys:
My Current Wireless Router
ITs a standard Linksys wireless, just compact and small, and has NO antenna. But it does have a port for one.

So, anyways, my router is in one room, and my PC is in another, actually not far at all, but I don't have perfect connection like being plugged into the wall, and I wanted to know if getting this High Gain Antenna from Linksys would improve my signal overall, enough to be noticable:
The Antenna

Or should I just move the damn router and modem back by the computer and hardwire it? Will I be able to make this wireless connnection stable enough for gaming?

Know where I can get one, that will link to my Router...R-TNC Connector? Im lookg for something that will help in doors, I think since the signal has to go through my computer desk and everything on it to the back of the tower fro mthe front, it is messing it up. I'm not really knowledgeable with al lthis wireless stuff. Thanks.

I'm not sure why it wouldn't improve the range indoors, but every post of JackMDS I have read is very informed.

From my own personal experience, I gained alot of range from moving to 2 high gain 7bd Antenna's for my WRT54G.

Purchase from a retailer that you can return it to after you use it. I would recommend it.
Frys would be a american retailer that would carry it. Alot of the computer stores with larger computer departments carry them.

The Radio Electronic of any Wireless is extremely dependent on the environment.

Many tears ago I use to do DXs around the World using 10W HF Transmitter, and Morse Code, while current 33mW WIFI can be stopped at 30?.

Since through Internet Forums we can not see, and or inspect the specific environment of each poster it is very hard to give a Focused advice. I can describe to you few indoor scenarios that might be benefit from better indoor Omni directional Antenna, but in general the way homes/apartment are constructed it usually does not do too much.

That is why I stated in the end of my post above: "However you would not know unless you try".

P.S. This is Not related to the OP. I am aware that many people who post questions in Forums do not really care to know any thing about the topic. They just would like someone to tell them Go to Store X, or Site Y.com and buy SKU. XYZXYZ

I do not care much about such questions. I Volunteer my time to help people to know and understand better, Not to promote Ignorance.
