High end video cards

It seems that people are worried about Dual DVI, SLI, overclocking and whatnot to their video card. My concern is video capturing. I also want a pretty high end card for gaming. My 5900U isn't cutting it, but the only reason I hesitate to throw it in my cheapo system is because of it's caputure functionality, which I like. I haven't seen any AIW Radeons of the high end variety. So does anyone have or have seen a GeForce with VIVO?
Also, I do not have any remaining PCI slots open for various reasons, so an Addon TV tuner is not an option.

What video source do you wanna capture from? If it's a digital camcorder, the best way is through FireWire. If you're capturing analog, an AIW or VIVO might be what you need.

Also, make sure your video editing software will support AIW, VIVO or whatever you finally decide on.

High-end gaming card and video capture card might not be one solution.

What exactly are you capturing?

You could get a USB2.0 capturing device, and some highend ATI cards X800pro and X800XT/X850XT card do have VIVO.

It's usually best to just get a seperate capture card (USB or PCI) and not worry about your video card. After all, if you get a good dedicated capture card, you can keep it forever and keep your video card upgrade costs to a minimum, and have a greater choice selection because you're not limited to video cards with expensive VIVO functions built-in.

I really haven't seen any Geforce 6800GT or Ultra with VIVO but I've seen plenty of Radeon X800XT and PE with VIVO.

I'll be capturing television, with an S-Video input. I have satellite TV, and a tuner wouldn't do me a bit of good.

Although it would sound like an appealing, easy answer. Unfortunately, I do not have any available PCI Slots.

MY current video card, even though it only takes one slot, the cooler covers about 1/2 of the adjacent slot.
The next slot had my SATA controller card. (the one on my mobo was KIA)
3rd has my sound card.
4th has my modem.
5th slot is free, but there is a rivet in the case that sticks out and it's impossible to get a card in there. I bent up the bracket there the screw goes on my modem trying to work it into that slot.

Also, my runins with USB 2.0 capture devices are horrific. I bought 2 devices that were only detectable by Windows Movie Maker and the program it came with. Anything else I tried wouldn't recognize the driver. :/
*sigh*
