High-end soundcard w/o bells&whistles?

I've just ordered myself a pair of Sennheiser HD250II headphones. These sell for about $200. Since I'm going to use them mostly with my computer, now I'm looking for a decent soundcard to use them with and I was hoping that someone here might help me out. I figured that my SB128 PCI won't cut it. I am NOT interested in any 3d-sound or professional audio editing stuff, just 44/48 kHz 16 bit stereo is fine with me. I'm thinking somewhere in the $150-200 range, but perhaps that isn't enough?

Thanks alot for any help!!

Well try out your SB128 for now. Has for a new sounds card, you might want to check out the new philips cound card.

from what i understand, i don't think any mainstream PC soundcard can really power good headphones. Depends how much of an audiophile you are really.. but yeah, give your sb a try, couldn't hurt. www.headphone.com was having a sale i think on one of their smaller headphone amps, mainly for portables, but can work w/ your comp.
