High end socket A cpu cooler...

Neos

Installed a new Biostar mATX board with the Sempron 2800. The new cpu came with a really good - quiet cooler - but I hate to leave the fancy copper fined wonder I was using on the MSI Socket A behind. Might make for a cooler cpu in addition to overclocking better.

Can it be used, converted, adapted?

uh, what cpu cooler are you talking about? also, dont expect much of an overclock on the biostar mobo. they are a pretty weak brand. ecs > biostar anyday.

I do not recall the brand of cooler that I took off the socket A. I guess my question should have been..

"Has anyone used a Socket A cooler on a 754 board?".

So far, so good on this board. I have yet to pull the strip on the bottom of the cooler and use some artic silver. Then maybe I can get some good overclocking done.

Thanks
