High end scanner?

Advice on it? I just need a good scanner (around $500) for work here, so would appreciate some suggestions. Has to do transparancies too 🙂
 
I'm very happy with my Epson 3170 Photo which I got for under $175 but I just set-up a Photograher Client with the 4870 Pro which I found for $500 and although I don't think it's worth the extra $'s , I was impressed with what the Digital Ice did to his negatives..
