I am looking for a top of the line laptop with the best upgrade options. Below are among the laptops I am considering. I was wondering if you guys could give me some pointers on the reliability of these.

- Hypersonic AX6
- Voodoo M:855
- Voodoo M:860
- Sager NP8790
- Xtreme Notebooks Raptor Edge

I am leaning towards the notebooks with the AMD 64 bit chip for performance reasons. I have omitted Alienware due to reliability concerns. I know Voodoo has a good rep, but there build time coupled with their price is making them a hard choice for first place in the list.

Thanks.

Hypersonic is releasing their equivalent to Voodoo's M860 at the end of this week (Friday or Saturday), I would wait to check that out before ordering anything. At least that is what I have planned, and while your waiting you can check out Powernotebooks.com, specifically the PowerPro M5:6!

Usually I am very hesitant to order from shops that I have never heard of before, but because of this company's clean BBB record, outstanding resellerratings, nice machine, and great prices I am actually considering them as an alternate! Also they have a 15 day money back guarantee from the date it was shipped.

Many of us are glued to our keyboard on 4/10 to see Hypersonic's AX7 (as I call it at least, we'll see.)

Hey bud there's been quite a few people over at talknotebooks with the PowerPro M5:6. THey have great things to say about it although apparently the stock 9700 is a bit underclocked (nothing powerstrip of radlinker won't take care of).
