So I've had a G5 laser mouse for a while, and it's been great. However, I found I've never actually used the multi-level DPI adjustment thingymajig. I figured, 2000 DPI was way too fast for anything I did.
Which got me thinking recently, for games at least, am I supposed to use the 2000 DPI setting, and dial down the sensitivity in the game I'm playing? Is this simply more accurate than using my normal sensitivity with the default 800 DPI? Or am I supposed to use the 400 DPI and dial UP the sensitivity?
It seems to me that the only thing it's doing is changing how far you need to move the mouse for movement... does actual measurable accuracy change according to the DPI I'm choosing?
