High density vs. low density RAM

I'm ordering 3GB of RAM, 2x1GB for my step dad's mom's system for christmas and 1GB stick for my mom and step dad.

The cheapest 1GB sticks are high density (128x4), but there are warnings all over the website syaing it may not be compatible???

The computers are AXP 1900+ (KT333 chipset) and a POS Compaq with a 1.6GHZ P4. (not sure of chipset)

Can anyone shed some light on this situation?

Look up the motherboard model and the Compaq computer model on the Kingston website (www.kingston.com), in the top left of the page. The website will tell you exactly what you need to get and what the systems will support.
