High definition videos

are those dvds able to be played in a stand alone dvd player with component outputs?
im interested in buying it.

No. First component is analog and I don't think they'll allow that connection for HD DVD related videos because of copyright. Second, no. 😉

They are, but the HD versions are only accessible/viewable from your computer. Set-top DVD players cannot decode the MPEG4-based WMV file.

Yea well last time I tried I was on 2GHZ celeron and Ti4200 and watched my poor computer choke.

These movies only work for 3Ghz + machines. There is a profiler to profile your computer.

that would be one powerful and expensive dvd unit... no doesn't exist yet to my knowledge, u gotta use pc to output.
 
when I tried playing Terminator WMVHD on my home computer, it was skipping pretty badly. These will do the same because of the bit rate of these files.
