hey guys,

ok so i just noticed now that when i play high def it only uses one of my processors. i just tried watching a 1080p video but it seemed to stutter a bit (720p plays perfect). i brought up the task manager and see that it uses 100% of my cpu1, while cpu2 is sitting there completely idle.

there must be some way to get that 2nd cpu to help out a bit with the processing, so that 1080p videos don't stutter! you guys have any idea?

currently use windows media player classic with ffdshow.

thanks!

Get a multithreaded movie player and decoder, there's no way to automatically force a single threaded app to use two CPUs.

Gotta love Dell. What exactly is a Centrino Duo other than a 'trim' package name? While were on that subject, what's your favorite techno speak?
