High CPU Utilization Windows XP Q815411

I've heard that there is some sort of patch (Q815411) for nForce Boards running Windows XP with SP1 that are experiencing high CPU utilization. Has anyone used this with success? What is an easy way to tell if you should apply this patch? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated!
 
I have this patch. When running HD Tach, the cpu utilization was around 15~20% before the patch. After the patch it's around 5~6%.
