High CPU Usage

When I brosw Mp3s on my dads computer the CPU usage rises to 100%. This only happens WITH MP3's so i think the way my dad converts files is with DBpoweramp. I'm going to copy my mp3s that i ripped from my cds that were done differently to see if it happens, but I really dont understand the problem.

well i have figured out what causes it.

when i remove WMD on the left preview side, it works fine....... but since i do that, i can't preview pictures... 🙁

argh. this is windows 2k btw.

Anthrax MP3's? *rimshot*

It appears that something (maybe windows media) is scanning the mp3 files for properties/tags

when its doing that open up process manager and see if it is taking the cpu power

also try doing a couple diffrent spyware checkers
