I have a celeron2 900mhz on an Asus cusl2 mobo.

When I copy files from 1 drive to another I get 97-99% cpu usage!!
the whole puter also "hangs" sometimes after disk access.. for a few seconds. Most annoying. Anyone have any idea why these things happen??

I am using 1 Ibm deskstar 30gb 75gxp drive and one seagate 7200 rpm barracuda disk. they are both on ide channel 1.
It says that the current transfer method is ultra dma.
Does this mean that I am indeed using dma?. Or is this some other crap?

I liked windows nt 4 more. Cuz ya had control ove stuff like this!!
