HIGH CPU temps. any suggestions??

I just went from stock 2500+ cool to an ocz gladiator 3 and my temps are the same..?? I just tried running of a PS connector as apposed to the mobo connector to see if I could utilize the full 5000+ rpm it could offer as apposed to the 4200 my mobo was giving it, but it didn't seem to lower temps any.

My temps are idle: 40, Load: 56

Just FYI, I am also using Antec Reference thermal paste

Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated since this cooler is dubbed one of the best on the market.
 
Your mobo must report temps higher than normal. My stock Barton does 30-35C Idle and 42-45C Full Load with 70F weather.
