Are these the same as the ones in the other battery thread that people say are not actually anywhere near the rated capacity?

I've bought from these guys before. Good stuff as far as I can tell.

BTW, use their web address without the www or .com for a discount.

Looks like the discount mentioned by swanny is 5%. Minimum order is $15. Shipping is reasonable ($5+ for 1 charger, $6+ for 3).

According to the vendor, the charger is VERY slow (over 15 hrs for 2000+ mAh batteries).

Many people think that slower charging is better for battery life than rapid charging is.

Just a "general answer" to this and another question. If, as was quoted, "According to the vendor, the charger is VERY slow (over 15 hrs for 2000+ mAh batteries)" then you should back off from this. I currently own several sets of rechargable NiMh batteries and a "basic" 4 hour charger for them. I am Loving this setup!! The batteries are all of different makes but work fine in the charger. I have yet to have a failure ane all of the charge within 4 hours. Heck, there are even faster charging units out there but you need to make sure that your batteries can handle the quick charge. There is NO REASON to have to wait 15+ hours to charge the batteries though. That is silly. You can buy a much faster charger for much less.

i don't think cheap rechargeables are the way to go. they lose their charge after a couple of times rechargeable (as in they won't hold a charge. you charge them fully, use them for a couple of minutes, they're dead)

Definitely. It isn't worth the headache. I bought the four 2000mAh AA batteries from them a while ago and 2 couldn't hold a charge. Luckily, the vendor has great customer service and replaced them. I switched to Energizers and couldn't be happier. Kept the powerizers as backup. The casing has changed 2 times since I bought from them. Lookin nice :)
