Lets say you;re working to help support your mom/dad siblings.

you decide to work in an ice cream store because you can eat ice cream and milkshakes for free.

You figure all the calories from the ice cream/milkshake will sustain you.

Right/wrong?

Why can/cant you sustain yourself on a hi cal diet?

edit:
Or how about just be on a high liquid protein diet?

As an added benefit you can sell your car and travel to work using a sh|t rocket of hershey squirts to propel you.

would probably work - just invest $60 to go talk to a doctor and get him to work out with you which vitamins and supplements you'll need in order to not get rickets or scruvy

While there's nothing inherently wrong with an all liquid diet (I have gone for long periods of time during which all of my calories came from protein shakes consisting of skim milk, oats, whey protein, and natural peanut butter), a milkshake is not a nutritionally sound meal and you will most certainly be missing out on lots of nutrients your body needs. I don't know how long it would take for the health consequences to manifest themselves, however.
