When my cpu is ran at 100% the 12v line goes up to 12.8 and the -12v line goes downto -12.8. Is this OK? I though it dropped when it was stressed.

Did you check the 12 and -12v rails with a voltmeter? or are you just relying on software?

I wouldn't trust the software ;)

it is comon practice for the 12v rail to spike when the 3v and/or 5v rail are stressed
just part of the design in most psu's

if it isn't causing stability issues you might be alright, but if the computer starts crashing or acting funny then you might wanna get a new psu.

good luck

I am using MBM, so I guess it could be wrong. It is pretty stable. I ran prime95 for about 10mins yesterday and it ran fine. I was just wondering. I have a turbolink 420watt ps made by Channelwell. I will have to look if the 3v and 5v rails are going down any.

MBM does list 3v correctly it says it is 2.6 which I know is wrong. I think that is vdim or something. Anyway 5v goes down to about 4.86. That is not that much.

A computer is not "pretty stable" if it runs Prime95 for 10 minutes. :)

Run it overnight then tell us how stable it is. 12.8 instead of 12 doesn't sound like a big deal to me BTW, but others will be more knowledgable than me on this one.

i think 12.8, 2.6, and 5.86 are big deals if those readings are infact right

does the bios tell you the voltages by any chance ?

maybe the powersupply is messed up or something
i've never heard of that brand

good luck
