Hiding taskbar icon in Thunderbird.

I just started using Mozilla Thunderbird and would like to be able to hide the taskbar icon and only have a little icon show up next to the clock when Thunderbird is minimized. Does Thunderbird have an option for this or would I have to use some external program?

That option does not exist as of yet, although it will eventually be in there.
