Hide the remote login status from applications.

We have some applications on remote machines that we need to manage/support. The problem is that these applications run differently when connected remotely, even if under the console session. As a result, when we connect it might not run correctly or not at all.

Is there a way to configure it such that there is no sign of the remote session. As if a person was loging onto the PC directly.

We need to use RDP as it is already available. If truly necessary, we can use a third party application if we can secure it, and it matches the performance of RDP.

Thank you

Anybody know how RDP shows up differently in windows? There has to be some indicator or some transfer that is different from regular local usage. Would a third party app like VNC still have some indications. It runs on the console session and can share the screen unlike RDP, I just don't know if it will work.

Thanks again.

Connecting via VNC should behave more like a "local" user. I have encountered apps that would not run properly under RDP but work fine with VNC.

Thanks, I will give it a try as soon as I can. I would still like to use RDP if possible and avoid deploying third party applications.
