Hide extensions for known file types...doesn't!

The "Hide extensions for known file types" check-box in "folder options" resets itself (to off) everytime I re-start the system... What can I do to stop this? I'm running WindowsXP Pro.

Thanks!

Are you doing it from the administrator account? If so, then I have no clue. Did you hit the apply to all folders button or have you tried hitting the reset all folders (could be a hassle if you have made alot of changes in different folders).

Yes...I am logged-on using an Administrator account and I have also tried your suggesstion of resetting all folders, but the problem still remians. I guess I'll just have to live with it.

Thanks anyway.
