Hidden Figures

Pretty good. I really enjoyed the math parts and the whole "eff you, brains are color blind." George Carver anyone?

2 other scenes: 3 Negros chasing a white police officer... 😛 and the guy at the launch with his laptop.😀😀

Edit: at the luxury theater...nice recliners for the same price. Would do again.

HIDDEN FIGURES is the incredible untold story of Katherine G. Johnson (Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (Janelle Monáe)—brilliant African-American women working at NASA, who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation’s confidence, turned around the Space Race, and galvanized the world. The visionary trio crossed all gender and race lines to inspire generations to dream big.

This did well at the box office this weekend... I'm surprised. Non-action movies haven't been doing well lately.

Just out of curiosity where?
They played up the launch like Costner would have been the flight director and what's his name from Big Bang Theory would have been a flight controller.

Mercury mission control was in Florida not Langley. Chris Kraft was Flight for most of Mercury and we had sent a chimp on orbital flight earlier than John Glen.

Other than that most of the girls stories were true from what I know. Including John Glen asking for Katherine to verify his trajectory.
