Hibernation tab disappeared

This is a IBM T43 laptop running XP pro. It once had the tabs for hiberation buried in the display power options menus. But now when i go to set "what to do when I close the lid" only Do Nothing and Shut Down appear.
How do I get the options back? They are mission out of my 'ctrl-alt-delete' option also.

Do you have enough page file to support hibernation (size of your physical memory or greater)?

I suppose so, its a fairly new laptop (3 weeks old) and I do not think anything has been changed, but I will look at the page file. If I increase it, will the option automatically come back?

Irrelevant, Windows uses a sepeate file (hiberfil.sys) for hibernation.
