Hibernation problems - Win2K

When ever I put my computer into hibernation I can't bring it out again. After it boots up and says "press Ctrl-Alt-Del to unlock your computer" it freezes. My keyboard and trackball don't respond and I have to hit the reset button. Any ideas?
