Hibernation Prob with Plextor 8/4/32

After I installed my plextor 8/4/32 in windows 2k wont let me hibernate. But, its not a prob with the cdr, but with my dvd-rom (Pioneer 10x Slot Drive). It gives the error that you should close all programs and try again, or update the driver. It used to hibernate just fine before i installed the plextor. Any suggestions?
