Hi, i looked all over for info. on exactly how hibernating works.I understand how to enable it and also the way it works. My question is, If you set youre system to hibernate after 2 hours for example,will it just shut down after 2 hours of inactivity, or will it shut down if your right in the middle of using your computer? I want to shut it down after 2 hours of inactivity, because that means i forgot to turn my computer off in most instances. thanks.

Unfortunately many people confuse and confabulate Hibernation with Power Saving.
Hibernation is not Power Saving, and thus has nothing to do with time.
Hibernation requires the computer to be SHUT OFF totally.
When you shut down the computer while Hibernation is On, the current state of the RAM is saved to the Hard Drive
When you switch the computer On, the system loads back the content of the RAM from the Hard Drive to the RAM and thus brings back the computer to the exact point of pervious shut down.

I See, Thanks. So basically what i would mostly be using HYBERNATION for is simply a timed auto shutoff in case i forget to turn off the computer as i am wont to do. That is unless theres another way to do that.
