When I remove my Soundblaster Live! Value from my A7V133 the hibernate feature is available in the shut down drop down menu of Win ME. When I reinsert the card and reboot the shut down menu only gives me the options, "shut down, restart, and stand by." Why is this?

Use the search funtion to find the file nohiber.txt on your computer. Read it and find out what driver is incompatible with hibernation. Then,

1) Disable the device using that driver in Device manager
OR
2) Remove the card using the driver
OR
3) Live without hibernation

My modem loads the driver serwave.vxd, which is incompatible with hibernation on my system. Now I just live without hibernation.:|

Thanks,
That tip explains it. Now I know why it won't hibernate on my other pc either.
