Whenever my Laptop awake from Hibernation, I had to see the stupid XP Welcome Screen (
that big blue backdrop with cartoon Icons), then an obligatory mouse-click to go into the Desktop.
This is a Stupid, illogical process that is an huge waste of time.

Does anyon know of a RegTweak or GroupEdit command to rid of this?

I have try "control userpasswords2", which successfully remove the XP Welcome Screen
in NORMAL RE-BOOT, but doesn't rid of the Welcome Screen in Hibernation

Turn off, 'On Resume, display welcome screen' in Display Properties / Screen Saver.

And calm down, sheesh, you act like Bill Gates personally pee'd in your cherios...

Turn off, 'On Resume, display welcome screen' in Display Properties / Screen Saver.

I don't See It: where is this option at?

What I see under Display Property\Screen Saver in SP2 is
a check box [ ] On Resume, Password Protect

This Option is NOT CHECK, yet I still have the XP Welcome Screen
Are we talking about the same CheckBox or a different check box???

I don't see any option to disable welcome screen

Go to Control Panel | Power Options.

On the advanced tab, uncheck, well, you figure it out.

Thanks for Point out the location for me.

My Toshiba's PowerManagment Utility is preventing me from accessing it.
I'll try to go under safe mode and uncheck that option

Thanks
