I recorded a family get-together on a Hi8 video tapes that I want to copy to VHS so I can share it with my friends.
How can I do this? Is there any way to convert it over? I can play the video on my TV, but I'd need to plug my camera in using the audio/video connector.

I thought about hooking my camera to the VCR in a daisy chain manner but that won't work because my VCR has coaxial Input and output, but only output audio/video cable connector and my camera has output audio/video and output S-video but no Coaxial output. Should I get another VCR, would it have input audio/video connectors?

I have a Sony Digital Handycam.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, just pick up another VCR, they're pretty affordable with the advent of DVD players.

Check your sony manual, but I think there's a special playback mode you use for dubbing onto VHS. I could be wrong, my parents have a Hi8 camera and I seem to remember reading about that in the manual.

Who needs that? You got two hands. One hits record, one hits play:D
